Ooops, we missed one…October 19, 2007
Clubhouse
There were two things I always had as a child. The first was the faith of a child, trusting without question and knowing that God is everything that His word said that he is… The second was a club house. The clubhouse was my refuge. When I was sad or angry or didn’t know where else to go, those clubhouses provided refuge. A place to think, a place to talk to God or a place to figure out the mysteries of life.
As childhood faded so did those times of retreat. I had gotten so busy that I stopped spending time alone with God and my faith became subject to a worldly perspective. But as God is so awesome to do, He showed me that I was so busy doing good things by the world’s perspective, that I had forgotten what was best. To sit at the feet of Jesus. In Him we have a place to think, to talk to God or a place to just sit quietly and listen to His voice as He shows us the great mysteries of life from His perspective. Jesus is the refuge that I found as I sat in my clubhouses, He met me where I was, and He will meet you where you are now. © 2007Pamela Sonnenmoser Ministries
