Not Under Our Circumstances
A few years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. It was in the very early stages and it was a type of cancer that stays contained in the organ that is affected for a long time. I was blessed with a very good prognosis. Still, people expected me to react to the disease with fear and trembling. People kept asking me how I was doing under the circumstances. While I was certainly not happy to have cancer, I knew that no matter what Happened God could be glorified through it. I was not UNDER the circumstance I was going through. I was simply trusting God to work in it and to bring the victory that Christ had already won on the cross. Death and disease are the result of a fallen world, but this world and everything in it are only temporary. Our circumstances cannot change our eternity without our consent.
Perhaps today you are going through a circumstance that seems like it may swallow you. If you have received Jesus Christ as your personal savior, there is nothing on this earth that separates you from His love. He will never leave your nor forsake you, even in the midst of your circumstance. He will carry you through the thing that is too big for you to handle on your own.
